Author: Lisa Carter

You don’t really have to give wedding favors on your wedding day. It is however a great way to show your gratitude for the presence and support of friends and family. For couples on a strict budget, a cheap wedding favor that will not go over $2 per piece is ideal. Here are some suggestions for your cheap wedding favor.

1. Homemade Bookmarks

Buy a ream of stiff, high quality special paper for your cheap wedding favor. Use a simple lay-out software to create a couple of bookmark sized squares for each piece of paper. Put your wedding picture on each square and a poem or message and print on your laser printer. Cut out the bookmark squares, punch a hole on each and attach silk ribbons.

2. Message in a Bottle

Order small, empty party favor bottles in bulk for your cheap wedding favor. Print and slip in a special wedding message for each bottle. Wrap each bottle in tulle or put a ribbon around each.

3. Charity Cards

Donate a dollar to your favorite charity for each guest or for each couple at your reception instead of handing out wedding favors. Give each guest a thank you card that also says that you have given an amount in favor of your charity. Some of your own guests might even want to make a donation too.

4. Sea Shells

Plan a trip with your friends to the beach and collect some smooth, great looking shells for your cheap wedding favor. Brush and carefully disinfect each shell and then wrap in tulle and silk ribbons. You may also instead have your cheap wedding favor engraved with your names.

5. Flower Seeds

Buy some flower seeds in bulk or per sack. Stitch some mesh or tulle cloth into little packs and slip in a handful of flower seeds. Write a message on a tag and attach to your cheap wedding favor.

6. Wedding Cookies

Go for a variation on fortune cookies for a cheap wedding favor. Bake a batch of mini cookies and slip different messages on each cookie. Pack a couple of cookies in small paper boxes and wrap each box in tulle and ribbons.

7. Glycerin Soap

Get some materials from a local melt and pour glycerin soap supplier for a cheap wedding favor. Most purchases include beginner’s instructions. Customize each cheap wedding favor with dye scents, and molds of your choice.

8. Poem or Message Box

Type a couple of messages on small square slots on a piece of special hard paper. You can quote Biblical passages, famous lines or you can come up with your own personal messages and short poems. Cut out the pieces and place the pieces in small boxes tied with ribbons.

9. Silk Fan

Purchase silk fans in bulk and have your names engraved at the side or attach a card at the bottom with some silk rope.

10. Wedding Jam

The Perfect Wedding Favors Is A Gift Of Warm Memory And Appreciation

Author: Melissa E Cruz

Wedding favors that are unique will certainly be kept for a long time and every time the receiver looks at it, memories of your wonderful wedding will come into their mind. It is also a sign of thank you gesture from the couple to those who came to their wedding.

Giving out wedding favors is a tradition that was started by the aristocrats back in the medieval age. Small trinket box filled with sugar cubes will be given out to aristocratic guests as a sign of appreciation. This is purely because sugar symbolizes wealth due to it being an expensive commodity back in those days.

The practice continues today and is not limited to aristocrats or the wealthy. It is also a sign of appreciation and the gift varies from food to simple ornaments. The gift would greatly depend on what the couple's thinks best to represent their gratitude to the guests.

Here are the types of common wedding favors:

- When you want hassle free and simple to purchase favors, decorative wedding favors are the one for you. They are just decorative ornaments meant for the table or just about anywhere. Examples of these favors are paperweights, pots, scented soaps, wedding unity candles and miniature glass bottles.

- Practical wedding favors are those that serve a specific purpose. While function serves a bigger role, being highly decorative is a plus point. Some options to consider when looking for practical wedding favors are photo frames, pen holders, candles and scented foam bath sets. More often than not, however, these practical wedding favors are so pretty they are treasured more for their beauty than their function. Most times, they end up as a decorative piece.

- For those who love to tickle their guest's fancy, there are humorous wedding favors for guests. They serve the purpose to just be funny. They are just there for the guests to have fun with and not really to cherish. Some examples of humorous wedding favors are party-poppers, whistles, bells, garter belts and even lottery tickets.

- Edible wedding favors such as chocolate is a very popular wedding favor. Chocolates are romantic and can be design elegantly making it look expensive. Other edible wedding favors are cakes and cookies that are usually high-quality. Also becoming quite popular are coffee and tea.

- If you're enthusiastic about saving the environment, you can have wedding favors that carries the message. You can have wedding favors that are made from recycled materials and decorated in a very elegant manner. Everyone will be amazed.

- You can also have seasonal wedding favors to go with your seasonal wedding theme. They would usually anything that represents the season or colored in the color theme of the season. For instance, maples leave card holder or snow pattern coaster.

Wedding favors do not have to be expensive items. In fact, some of the most memorable and well-used wedding favors could very well be that budget-friendly coaster set, plastic beach ball or pair of rubber flip flops. The last thing you should want your wedding favor to end up being is discarded the moment they reach home or even worse, in some corner of their store room gathering dust.

If you want your guests to cherish your wedding favor, you must analyze the majority of people you invite to your wedding. Who are they are what kind of favors that you think will best suit their lifestyle or preference. Office folks for instance may not be so keen of cutesy items for they might find things that they can use such as paperweight or photo frames. Younger crowd would love decorative ornaments for their mobile phone.

When choosing wedding favors, ask yourself some questions:

- What will this gift be used for?

- Will my guests enjoy their gift?

- Does this reflect us or our personalities?

- Will my closest friends expect something like this from us?

If your answers are keen and justifiable then you have made the right choice in choosing a wedding favor that is just right for your wedding.

How To Make Your Own Flower Seed Wedding Favor

How To Make Your Own Flower Seed Wedding Favor

Author: Chrystal Holman

Making your own flower seed wedding favor items has many benefits, including saving cost and having a lot of fun. Let's see how you can do that.

A wedding is an expensive affair to say the least. On the other hand, it is also your very special day that you want to be absolutely perfect. You probably want people to remember your day for many years to come.

One of the decisions you need to make is what to give to your wedding guest as favors.

You could buy pre-made favors, which will save some time but will also cost more money.

Making your own wedding favors enables you to give your wedding guests exactly what you want. By giving them a packet of flower seed you give them something that they can use. Something edible as wedding favor seems to be the norm. However, once consumed the wedding favor is forgotten.

With flower seeds, when the flowers bloom your wedding guests can admire them and remember that they received the packet of flower seed from you at your wedding. One can say that the beautiful flowers will remind friends and family of the blooming love between you and your spouse.

Pick the flower seed to be of flowers that can be planted during the next planting season following your wedding. It's of little use if you give your wedding guests a packet of flower seed during summer that can only be planted the next spring.

Give them flower seed as a wedding favor that can be planted in fall if your wedding is in summer, and flower seed for planting in spring if your wedding is during the winter.

To make your own flower seed wedding favors, the first thing you will need to buy is bulk flower seed.

Do not buy the small individual packets. It will be far more expensive than buying in bulk.

Secondly, you will need cards for the personalized message to your wedding guests and small containers to hold the flower seeds.

For containers you can consider tiny wedding favor buckets, small rectangular or triangular boxes, teeny-tiny shopping bags or beach bags, or any other suitable container that will fit your wedding theme.

Make sure that you buy the cards and containers from a wedding favor store, so that your wedding favors look professional and not like something picked up from a dollar store.

By involving friends and family in assembling your flower seed wedding favors, you can have a lot of fun.

You can even turn the "manufacturing task" into a series of social events where you can chat about the upcoming wedding while making your own flower seed wedding favors.

Wedding Favors With Pizazz

By : Bonnie Ray
Everyone wants there wedding to have pizzaz from beginning to end. Since the wedding favors are usually given out towards the end of the wedding why not give them something unique, personalized and with a little pizzaz. There are a lot of companies online that sell wedding favors but finding just the ones with enough pizzaz for your wedding may take a little time. Here are some wedding favors that I found that definitely are unique and have enough pizzaz for any wedding.

If you are looking for an elegant and untraditional wedding favor try the his and her napkin rings boxed gift set. Each of the two wedding ring napkin holders is about an inch across and weighs about 3 ounces. The his wedding ring is a simple, elegant band while the hers wedding ring sports a gorgeous rock spanning an inch across. Both napkins rings come in a textured jewelry box tied with a sheer organza ribbon. Some online wedding favor companies also provide personalized name tags for each box. A set of 24 of these unusual napkin rings will cost you around $100.

Candy is a popular and inexpensive wedding favor. However as soon as the candy is eaten the wedding favor is gone. That doesn't have to be true. Do a search for personalized wedding favor boxes. They are fairly inexpensive, costing between $.80 and $.95 cents apiece. An elegant way to still stay within your budget.

Still looking for something to put into those cute little boxes, well it doesn't have to be candy. Everyone loves candles so why not put in a mini pillar candle with a personalized wrapper. The mini pillar candles can be ordered either round or square, are unscented and come in white or ivory. The labels are sold separately but are a peel and stick label so they are very easy to put on. The candles will cost you about $53 for 24 of them and the labels cost about $28 for 24 of them.

Looking for something a little cheaper but still unusual. How about love rocks. Love rocks are sleek, polished stones engraved with the word love. Colors and sizes of the stones vary but most are a darker slate or a translucent gold and 1.5 inches wide. They come in white silk organza bags with personalized name tags. The name tags have the bride and grooms names and the date of the wedding. These cool and unusual wedding favors will cost you around $63 dollars for 30 rocks.
Any of these wedding favors can add pizzaz and elegance to your wedding. Finding the right wedding favors doesn't have to be frustrating. Just consider what your guests would like and then find some way to add your own pizzaz to it.

Inexpensive Wedding Favors Don't Have to Be "Cheap"

;
By: Andrew Stratton

Weddings are one of the first large expenditures a couple will have. The extras alone can cost thousands of dollars and can be extremely overwhelming - especially to those couples who are on a budget. As much as you dream of the perfect "Platinum" wedding when you are young, not all brides can afford to invest $20-$50,000 in an elaborate dream wedding. To alleviate some of those "budget busters", brides can instead opt to cut costs on bridal accessories such as the tiara, garter or veil, attendant accessories like the flower girl basket, or the ring bearer pillow, and finally, wedding favors for the guests, especially if you are craft savvy and can do it yourself.

Although shot glasses, coasters, key chains and matchbooks are somewhat traditional wedding favors, these items do not necessarily memorialize the glorious event, and most often find their way, (at best), to the back of a junk drawer or, (at worst), to the bottom of the trash can.

Instead of traditional items, why not chose wedding favors that commemorate not only your special day, but also your personal style? There are many options now for wedding favors, and if your budget only allows for minimum expense, there are many great do-it-yourself ideas for wedding favors:

* Bubbles are a great do-it-yourself wedding favor. Simply print up special labels on your home computer, personalize with the name of the bride and groom, and their event date, and to small plastic bottles of bubble liquid . Add even more flair to your bubble favors by adding a decorative charm. Bubbles also make for a great honeymoon send-off, won't stain your gorgeous wedding gown, and are environmentally safe.

* Most people love food - and better still, candy! A little care package of sweets, sealed with a ribbon and a commemorative charm can be put together easily and inexpensively, and makes a wonderful favor for your guests.

* Another great candy favor idea is the "Hershey's Kiss Rosebud Favor" - a few kisses, (symbolism built in), a little cellophane and florist's wire, and "voila!" a thoughtful, yet incredibly inexpensive wedding favor.

If you don't have the time or talent to create your own wedding favor ideas, there are still less expensive and customized options available.

* Flower seed wedding favors - loaded with metaphorical references such as "Love is Blooming", or "Help us plant the seeds to grow together". The packages are printable making for an inexpensive and personalized wedding favor. These work well for bridal and baby showers, too.

* Tea packs are becoming a popular wedding and bridal shower favor. Again metaphors abound. "Love is Brewing", for instance. Again, the packaging is printable allowing for easy customization.

* Don't have time to make your own personalized wedding favor bubbles? You can buy them - and here's a secret - they're not much more expensive than making them yourself.

Whether you "do-it-yourself" or set out to buy an inexpensive wedding favor for your guests, your wish is to give them a commemorative favor that they will cherish as a pleasant reminder of your special day. Remember, it doesn't have to be expensive to be worth keeping.

In the end, whether inexpensive or not, if it's thoughtful, you'll have achieved the most important goal - your friends and family will know it's from the heart.

Cutting Down on the Expense of Personalized Wedding Favors

Cutting Down on the Expense of Personalized Wedding Favors

Author: Linda Ellison

Most brides today want some type of personalized wedding favors ; after all, wedding favors are meant as a reminder of that special day and this means having their name and wedding date somehow included on those favors. But do any type of shopping today for personalized wedding favors and you'll see that these can be somewhat expensive, some costing four or five dollars per piece and even more than that in many cases! So how can you cut down on this particular expense for your wedding but not compromise how beautiful and unique this option is? There are actually some simple ways to do this.
Many couples today want personalized wedding favors that include a favorite photo of them. However, give this some consideration. You may love this photo of you and think that the favors look wonderful with it, but what about your friends and family? Will they really want to use coasters with your faces on them? Or keep a key chain with that picture dangling from their keys? There may be several guests who immediately think that this type of item is just a bit tacky, if not downright pushy.
Including the option for a photo is usually the biggest expense when it comes to personalized wedding favors , more so than just your names and date, and may include a set-up charge along with the charge for the favors themselves. Ask yourself if this option is really worth the expense for an item that your guests may not even appreciate or enjoy using anyway.
Another big expense when it comes to personalized wedding favors is the need to have your name and date engraved in the item. Anything crystal, silver, pewter or another hard element is probably going to cost you more than anything made of paper. For instance, if you look at most small crystal paperweights that are offered as wedding favors, you'll see that they typically cost around four dollars per item, whereas most personalized candy bar wrappers are less than a dollar. This may be a small difference per item, but consider how many guests you're having at your wedding. A three-dollar difference in favors, multiplied by the hundred guests you're inviting, means an additional three hundred dollars for those paperweights alone. Since most couples today are trying to plan a wedding on a budget, choosing a more affordable option for personalized wedding favors may not be a bad way to go.
Of course, if you have some talent you can always make up your own personalized wedding favors by way of bookmarks you create yourself and have printed at the office supply store, or sugar cookies decorated with your names and date. These are not only affordable options, they're also very creative and a fun way for the bride to express her thanks to her guests.
In the past few years, the business of personalized wedding favors has been booming, with an endless variety of options for brides. This is good news for those looking to save a few dollars on this part of the wedding and reception, as there are many affordable and still very nice choices, if you do a bit of shopping and comparison.

Ideas for Wedding Favors - Candle Wedding Favors

Author: Kelly Hann

Giving wedding favors are customary in weddings. Candles wedding favors are one of those favors that will always remain popular. Giving these out is guaranteed to please guests and family. There are so many designs and styles to choose from that you will have no problem picking out appropriate sets for your specific purpose.

Votive candles are perfect for wedding favors. They come in a wide range of selections differing in scent, color and size. Some are relatively cheap while others are rather expensive. These prices mostly depend on the varying designs these votive candles come in. You may also choose differently colored votive candles depending on the recipient’s favorite color. This would really convey a very thoughtful message to guests.

Taper candles are another popular type used for candle wedding favors. These are packaged elegantly and covered gracefully with tulle, artistic cellophanes or ribbons. For special guests such as the groom’s and bride’s parents, the taper candles may be fancifully wrapped with an aesthetically appealing paper scroll printed with a message from the bride and groom themselves.

If you don’t want to just hand out candle shaped candles, then you can order artistic and decorative candles molded to the forms of anything from angels to wedding cakes. These decorative candles may be slightly more expensive but they sure are worth it. You can even choose designs representing the groom’s work or the bride’s passions. These make for very cute wedding favors that guests will surely love.

Floating candles are another set that’s popular for wedding favors. These are made with a lightweight foam core which allows them to float on water. They are molded to many different shapes and sizes; you can certainly pick one which suits your taste best. Smaller candles may be given in sets along with special glass bowls creating a unique centerpiece that really beautifies its surroundings.

If you don’t find the type of candle that best fits your purpose, you could choose to create your very own. This is rather easy and everything you need is found either at your local grocery or at your local crafts supply shop. You can get paraffin wax from most grocery stores’ canning aisles. The other parts like the wicking, the molds, scents and dyes are available at crafts stores. Instead of molds you can use votive cups or small bottles for an added artistic effect.

To start things off, you will need a double boiler to melt the wax and the colors and scents into a smooth liquid. Your mold should already be prepared with the wicking suspended in the middle touching the bottom and kept in place by a crossbar at the top of the mold. Then, you pour the liquid mixture in the mold. Leave only about a quarter inch of space from the wax to the rim of the mold. These are then set aside to cool and after that, trim the wick and you’re done.

Candles are not only loved, but they are thoughtful as well. How often can you say that you’ve given the gift of light? On your most special day, why not take this opportunity to thank your friends with wonderful Candle Wedding Favors

Wedding Favors not to Buy for your Wedding

Author: Denise Sanger

Wedding favors have become an important part of the wedding celebration. However, there are some wedding favors your guests will not appreciate receiving at your reception. Lets take a look.

1. Personalized Favors With The Couples Names. Dont get me wrong. Some personalized favors are nice BUT it depends how they are personalized. Wedding favors such as silver photo frames or bells, monogrammed candle favors, and coasters engraved with the happy couples names and dates will never be displayed in your guests home. Why would they? If you are set on personalized wedding favors, choose to personalize the tags or go with a smaller, less expensive personalized favor such as lip balm or note pads. That way you are sure your guests will use and appreciate your wedding favors.

2. Overtly Themed Wedding Favors. For example, did you decide to have an Asian themed wedding or an Irish themed wedding? Thats wonderful and there are many great ways to incorporate your theme into the wedding but leave the favors out of it. Choosing to provide your guests with a themed favor that they dont understand or does not complement their d?r ensures that the favor will go straight into the garbage can when they get home. Choose a more practical wedding favor such as a neutral candle that matches your color theme, a silver bottle stopper or luggage tag. These types of favors are not only practical but elegant as well.

3. Expensive Wedding Favors. Your dream is to have the wedding of the decade. Thats fantastic, but spend your money where it will matter the most to YOU not your guests. By all means provide your guests with a tasteful, elegant wedding favor but unless youre a celebrity, you dont need to spend $10 per favor to achieve that look. Silver wedding favors also look elegant as do wine bottle stoppers. If you are discriminating in your choice of favors, your goal will be achieved.

4. Cheap Wedding Favors. Spend some time looking for a wedding favor that is inexpensive but not cheap looking. Many brides make the mistake of having friends and family make their wedding favors for them. Often this task is rushed to be completed right before the wedding and they look it. There are many wedding favors under $1 or $2 that appear to cost more than they really do. A few great examples are heart cookie cutters, heart bath soaps in a gift box, or sachets.

You want your day to be perfect. Dont choose a wedding favor that will derail your whole plan. Take your time and choose a wedding favor that both you and your guests are sure to love.

Are You Sick and Tired of the Same Old Wedding Favors?

Are You Sick and Tired of the Same Old Wedding Favors?

Author: Linda Ellison

How many times have you gone online to shop for wedding favors and have noticed that every site seems to be selling the same exact items? What gives?

Online retailers are usually reselling items from a drop shipper, meaning a company that manufacturers and ships all the items for them. This is very convenient for someone that sells online as it means they don't need to actually make up the wedding favors, warehouse thousands of them, and do any actual packing and shipping. There are only a few major drop shippers when it comes to wedding favors, so you understand why so many online retailers wind up selling the same items.

However, understanding what's going on behind the scenes with online retailers of wedding favors probably doesn't help you out much when you're shopping. Just because those websites are all getting their products from the same place doesn't mean that you're happy to have the same items as everyone else! So what to do?

If you want unique and personal wedding favors then it's time to think outside the box, as they say. Purchasing favors that you know other people have purchased is perfectly fine but to make them unique to you, dress them up a bit. Get some wrapping paper that fits the theme or tone of your wedding and wrap them individually, tying them with huge ribbon or a big bow. If you are having a more casual wedding, you could get helium balloons on ribbon and tie that around each of your wedding favors for a fun and festive touch. You can also print out a small personal message to your guests and roll them up and slide them under the ribbon of your wedding favors for a great personal touch.

Remember that there are many other options for wedding favors than you might expect. While items like candles and small tins or bags of candy are popular choices, you can use some creativity when choosing items for your wedding. Check your local stationery store for some nice note cards that match the theme of your wedding. Visit a nursery to get some tiny potted plants. You can find small vases or clay pots virtually anywhere, all of which are very affordable. Small wooden boxes you purchase from the craft supply store make for great wedding favors that anyone can use as added storage on a desk or dresser.

Don't rule out personalized candy bar wrappers as wedding favors. There are literally hundreds of designs available and typically you can find something that matches the theme or tone of your wedding, and of course they're usually personalized for free. A nice chocolate bar is something that just about everyone loves, so of course you can't go wrong with these as wedding favors!

Putting some mental energy into your choice of favors is not a chore, but rather it's a fun and enjoyable part of planning your wedding. And remember that your wedding favors are your way of thanking your guests for being there and for sharing in your special day, so that thought and effort is an expression of your gratitude but will also help you to make a decision in finding favors that really are personal and unique to you!

The Charm of Homemade Wedding Favors

By Kevin Stith

Homemade wedding favors come from a centuries old tradition of brides and grooms providing small gifts to wedding guests. Every culture across time has treated marriage as a wonderful event with the nuptials celebrated throughout the community. In many cultures the bride and groom are associated with good luck. A common thought among these cultures was, that every thing the couple touched would be charmed. By gifting members of the community, the couple would pass blessings to others for the rest of the year.

Initially all wedding favors were homemade, as the concept of mass produced items had yet to be conceived. Many brides would choose to redistribute their good luck by preparing a small gift of almonds beautifully wrapped in elegant fabric. The custom in the Middle East is for the bride to provide five almonds to represent fertility, longevity, wealth, health and happiness. Today, the candied nut known as Jordan almonds, provides for one of the most common and traditional wedding favors, when they are wrapped in small bundles of delicate fabric.

The gifts a bride might create would be dependent on the culture and materials available. For years European and American women would crochet small bags or stiffen their work to create small boxes that would typically hold fruit, nut or candy treats. Crochet items are still an elegant touch for Victorian or country themed weddings. Today, a bride is only limited to her imagination when it comes to selecting the gifts that will show appreciation from the blessed couple.

The tradition of creating homemade weddings favors has continued as a means for the bride to reduce expenses on the wedding budget. Although today, many quality items can be mass produced for a relatively low cost, brides prefer to create homemade favors as a means of self expression. Homemade favors allow her opportunities for unique gift giving and personalization that can't be found in retail store.

Homemade wedding favors can be labor extensive or have a sense of simple sophistication. Time, talent and imagination are the only limits for the creation of wedding favors. Craft stores offer an extensive variety of materials from which to create a memorable item. Simple glass bud vases and candles can be adorned with paint or glass gems. Ready-to-paint bare wood birdhouses can be adorned to resemble wedding chapels. Something as simple as adding a photo of the couple, to a simple picture frame makes an excellent favor that will outlast the wedding day.

Home computers, desktop publishing software and quality papers make it easy to duplicate products that have only been available from professional printers in the past. Poetry can be added to beautiful backgrounds for unique bookmarks or framed works. Decorative placecards with the guests name in an beautiful script can later serve to replace a boring name placard on their work desk. Software to edit music and video recordings allow for the production of private CD's and DVD's.

Baked goods continue to make excellent wedding favors. Cookie cutters are manufactured in every imaginable shape allowing the bride to present distinctive, frosted and personalized delights. Miniature cakes, petits fours and even chocolates can be recreated in the home kitchen. Plastic molds for forming chocolate and other candies make it easy to produce delicacies that are representative of wedding themes. A fun twist on a common molded candy is to prepare it on a stick to create a lollipop from hard candies or chocolates.

Homemade wedding favors will continue to be a favorite for the bride and her guests. The opportunity to produce an item that genuinely expresses the heartfelt sentiments of the couple, will never go out of style.

Leaving for Your Honeymoon with Wedding Bubble Favors

Leaving for Your Honeymoon with Wedding Bubble Favors

By Jeanette Shinn

Wedding bubbles, and therefore wedding bubble favors, are growing in popularity as they replace rice, birdseed, confetti, and who knows what else from times gone by for use when the bride and groom are departing on their honeymoon and ultimately their new life together. The reason is simple, wedding bubbles don't require sweeping the sidewalk afterwards to prevent the slips and falls that rice and birdseed can cause.

Likewise, the use of wedding bubble favors is fun for everyone. Who doesn't enjoy the momentary reminder of their carefree youth? Watching the bubbles dance on the breeze is fun.

As an added benefit, wedding bubbles are an easy and inexpensive way to add special flair to your pictures of your honeymoon departure! Why? Because, though they are translucent they still have enough substance to catch and bend the light waves around them which will add a real flair to your departure pictures.

Answering Objections to Wedding Bubbles

The most common complaint about using bubbles in a wedding celebration is the concern that the bubbles might stain the formal wear of people celebrating the wedding. This is a legitimate concern, but when that happens it's usually because someone tried to cut corners and buy the bubble solution made for children's play that you can purchase at a discount store. The solution is to buy actual wedding bubble favors. Such bubbles have been formulated specifically with wedding reception usage in mind to prevent such a problem.

Second, people object that a spilled container of wedding bubble solution could cause a hazard that might result in a fall. Of course if you are using it on a marble floor (or some other highly polished surface) it could be true, but as long as you restrict use to carpeted surfaces indoors (with permission, of course), sidewalks, or road surfaces there should not be a problem especially considering that most wedding bubble favors have less than an ounce of bubble solution in each favor.

So don't hesitate. Make full use of wedding bubble favors. Enjoy the atmosphere they provide. Enjoy watching the children dance with delight as they watch the bubbles bounce on the breeze and the magical effect they can have on the pictures of your departure for your honeymoon. Just be sure to buy actual wedding bubble favors and limit their use to surfaces that don't tend to be slippery when wet.

Wedding Favor Boxes

By Sarah Page

Whether you go with an edible treat (like brownies, cookies, candy or chocolate) or a little treasure to give your guests for a favor, you need to buy something to put that favor in. This can range from small paper or fabric bags to small gift boxes to tulle. Traditional favors use tulle as the material that the bride will put the favor and then she ties a ribbon and card to the bundle.

You can get as creative as you want and let your imagination run wild when you make your favors. If your favor is an edible treat, you will need to cover it somehow, so you might want to put it in a gift box. A small glass or gift box is absolutely perfect for those edible treats.

For wedding favors, there is an emporium of information online. You can order bulk wedding favor supplies as well as cheap, pre-made wedding favors. If you search online for wedding favors, there are tons of web sites that will supply you with everything that you need to know to make sure that your wedding favors are perfect. You are not in this alone.

There are many different ways to improvise when it comes to creating a wedding favor box. For instance, you can take a take-out Chinese box, decorate it, and use it. Many people use this rather absurd idea and it works great. If you decide to give wedding fortune cookies, then look no further for a better idea!

Plastic bags are also a great way to host your wedding favor gifts. These little bags can be easily decorated and cheap. Some common items to place in these bags include soaps, candles and even edibles. A bag is easy to carry, pack and save money, but if you are considering a more extravagant wedding favor idea, consider glass jars.

If you are considering to offer flowers as a gift for your guests, why not put them in a small vase with a bow tied around it? Keep in mind that if they are real, then you need to have water to keep the flowers alive. This is just one example of how proper packaging should be in congruence with your gift items.

As you can see, there are many different approaches to creating wedding favors. You can be as simple or complex as you would like. Just make sure that whatever wedding favor you decide to have your guests part with, that it says that they had an enjoyable experience and will remember it forever.

Yummy Chocolate Candy Wedding Favors

By Jeffry Evans

Mmmmmm..chocolate. One of the most popular wedding favors out there for brides is to use some kind of candy. It's relatively inexpensive, well liked by nearly everyone, and you can wrap it up to where it looks totally cute. Perhaps the favorite (of mine anyway) are the chocolate wedding favors. Despite what you think, you don't have to spend a fortune to make chocolate wedding favors, its a great inexpensive wedding favor. On top of that, you can even lots of different things with chocolate wedding favors to spice it up and make it unique for your wedding. Here are some great ideas to make your own chocolate wedding favors.

1. Chocolate Rose Wedding Favors

If you haven't seen this done before, it's pretty charming. Grab some Hershey's kisses, wire, cellophane, green florist tape, and some silk leaves if you like. To make these chocolate wedding favors, take two kisses, put them bottom to bottom and stick a length of wire through them both. Then wrap them tightly in cellophane and secure with the florist tape, adding leaves to the middle of the wires as desired. This takes a lot of time, but they turn out cute if you keep everything looking the same. It may take you a couple of roses before you get the knack for it. But they can be placed in small baskets in the middle of each table as a cute addition to your table's centerpiece.

2. Chocolate Lollipop Wedding Favors

This chocolate wedding favor can be done quickly and easily, and they do turn out really cute. Simply go to a craft store and pick out a candy mold that you would like to use, and a bag of lollipop sticks as well (you can get a pack of a hundred or more for just a few dollars). Then, melt almond bark and add food coloring if you'd like a certain color, pour into mold, add the lollipop stick, and freeze for a few minutes until firm. Then, wrap each in cellophane and store in the refrigerator until time to serve. Or, if you prefer, you can find your own recipe for chocolate and use that instead, but almond bark is the easiest for me.

3. Chocolate Bar Wedding Favors

This is a really simple wedding favor. Go to the store and either get a bunch of mini chocolate bars such as a bag of assorted chocolate bars, or large full size chocolate bars. Then you can get on the internet and order wrappers in your wedding colors or with a special pre-printed note to your guests, remove the original wrapping and replace it with your special wrapper. Voila! Easy, right

4. Chocolate Candy Wedding Favors

This one is getting really popular. Instead of pre-packaging hundreds of little individual wedding favors, buy lots of types of chocolates, display them attractively in large bowls, and provide each guest with a small bag they can fill with their favorites and take home. All you'll need for this is large bowls for the candy, a scoop for each candy, small bags or boxes for the guests to use, and any other table decorations you like. Very simple, and you ensure that your guests get their favorite to take home.

Like I said, chocolate's great, and nearly everyone loves it. It's a great no hassle wedding favor that you can quickly make and store until your big day.

You won't believe what they're doing with chocolate wedding favors these days!

Unique Chocolate Wedding Favors That Everyone Will Love

Author: Linda Ellison

There are many reasons why a bride might choose chocolate wedding favors for her reception. They're typically very affordable, come in a wide variety of flavors, look beautiful and festive, and let's face it, who doesn't love chocolate?

But wanting to have chocolate wedding favors for your reception can leave you scratching your head as to what you should actually choose, and how chocolates can be presented at your reception in a beautiful and appropriate manner.

Choosing these favors will depend on many things, but probably your budget more than anything. There's no limit to the amount of money you can spend on designer bonbons and truffles and other gourmet items, so it's a good idea to have an actual budget in mind before you even begin shopping around.

You might also want to give some consideration to the theme and tone of your wedding and reception. Is it a very formal affair in an elegant banquet hall or a more casual party? If it's formal and traditional, then typically you want chocolates that are just as elegant and indulgent. Most chocolate makers have packages that they make up just for weddings, usually a small collection of bonbons or truffles that comes in beautiful boxes. They may be decorated like little tuxedos and wedding gowns. They may be heart-shaped and hand decorated with your names or initials. Some may offer just one very exquisite or decadent chocolate in its own mini tray or foil, and be wrapped with a bit of tulle and ribbon.

Other small treats may be a few chocolates stacked on top of each other to resemble a wedding cake, again, in its own mini tray and ribbon or a small clear box. There are also chocolates in the shape of a letter which is usually in a clear plastic bag and tied with an elegant ribbon.

However, if your reception is more casual then your options can include treats such as chocolate covered pretzels in a small box. If you're both sports loves, there are chocolates shaped like golf balls, soccer balls, bowling balls, volleyballs, baseballs, and virtually any other sporting ball you can think of.

For those who love casinos or who are planning a Vegas-themed wedding, some chocolate wedding favors are shaped like large dice or like poker chips.

For beach wedding favors, you can find chocolates in the shape of seashells. Some bakers can offer to make just plain squares of chocolate that are stamped with your name or initial.

When opting for chocolate wedding favors such as these, be sure to dress them up with a personal touch. If the box they come in is rather plain, wrap it in beautiful wrapping paper and large ribbon from either your paper supply or fabric store, in a color that matches your reception's theme.

And of course a very affordable and unique option for chocolate wedding favors is personalized candy bar wrappers , which usually come in a wide variety of designs and styles. These can match your wedding's tone, whether elegant and traditional or fun and whimsical, and can also provide a nice keepsake for an album or scrapbook.

As more and more chocolate makers realize the popularity and versatility of chocolate wedding favors, you may see that you as a bride have more and more options available to you when it comes time to choosing just the right chocolate favors for your reception.

Kids love them, adults love them, and you’ll fall in love with them too! These cute little chocolate favors are very easy and affordable to create on your own. If you purchase chocolate bars in bulk, you can create your own labels with your home computer. Too busy? Have them custom created by your local printer. The candy bars themselves can be milk chocolate with nuts or without nuts. We always suggest nut-free candies, as many people have allergies to certain nuts. Add an image of yourselves and the date of your wedding to each label. Use these chocolate favors as place setters for each guests’ seat!

A Lucky Kiss!

A what? A lucky kiss! Place a scratch-off lottery ticket and a Hershey kiss wrapped in tulle for each guest. Your guests will never expect this scrumptious chocolate wedding favor, as it’s quite unique. Think how happy they’ll be if they’re a winner!

Chocolate Heart Lollipops

You can purchase these little candy favors in bulk. Attach a ribbon with your names and wedding date to each stick. If you’re really on a budget you can make them yourself with a candy mold. It’s easy and it doesn’t require much time.

This very inexpensive chocolate wedding favor can simply express your cutest sentiments and make everyone say “awww.” Place Hershey Hugs and Kisses into tulle or mesh, tie them with embroided ribbon and a note that reads: “hugs and kisses from Mr. & Mrs. (last name).”
